Lunch Bag Albums

Southern Scrapbooking had it's first debut at a public event this past weekend. I participated in Mule Day, which is a HUGE craft fair in Winfield, Alabama. Well, it STORMED! Not just for a little while either. It was so bad that we had to pack up and leave at 11am. It was definitely a learning experience and I got to have a great visit with my Mom while we sat in the rain. My dear friend over at Livistitches(www.livistitches.net) was there as well and although it didn't turn out like we were expecting, we are now a little more brave and are staying open to trying again next year!

One of the items I was selling at Mule Day were these Lunch Bag Albums. They are so fun to make and take a normal lunch bag and turn it into a keepsake.

These are the basic materials I start with to make a Lunch Bag Album.

Here is the result! They have 14 pages to add your photo's and personalize to your taste.

Tie the ribbons on the side up to keep it closed and you'll be ready to pull it out to share pictures and brag about your little one!

Card with Gift Card holder

I have been trying out new card styles and I just completed this one and I really like how it turned out. I like the side opening with the ribbon and inside I made a place for a gift card.

I put my Barnes and Noble gift card from Christmas in there to show how it fits. I guess any new mom would probably love a gift card to B&N to fill their baby's new library!

I haven't posted in so long! Sorry!! I have been thinking about my business and where I want to go with it and I have decided to stop listing on Etsy...at least for now. I am going to focus more on custom orders and I am also considering putting my things in some local shops. All of my items I list are for sale, so if you see something you like, please just email me! I just love my new "Animal Alphabet" stamp set from K&Company(one of my favorites!). It would be so cute to spell out names with the letters!

What I've been up to!

It's been over a week since I have posted on my blog! I have been really busy with a Baby book order and also a special birthday present scrapbook for my Grandmother's 80th birthday. Between those two, I have had very little time to do any other scrapbooking! I have posted a few pictures from the baby book...the mother to be who will be receiving it doesn't follow my blog - Yet! So I'm not spoiling the surprise. The beach baby page is for Etsy. The warm weather has me dreaming of the beach and with Spring Break coming up, I thought a "Beach Baby" page would be great in someones scrapbook.

Beach Baby page for Esty. It has very vibrant colors that I thought would look great with a little girls cute bathing suit. The paper has glitter on it and the circle on the bottom center is for the date.

St. Patrick's Day Premade page

I just posted this on Etsy and I really like how it turned out. Growing up we never celebrated St. Patrick's Day...it was just another day. Of course we would always wear something green so we wouldn't get pinched at school, but that was about it. My husband's family are of Irish decent, so they celebrate and have gotten me into it. This is a 12x12 page that will hold 2 pictures and a small space for journaling in the top right corner.

It's funny that I'm posting this page today because it wasn't at all like spring today! For the last couple of weeks we have been having warmer weather here in Alabama and the flowers are starting to bloom so it just felt perfect to make this page. Well, this morning when we woke up, it was snowing! It snowed all morning and we had fun playing in it, but it certainly wasn't spring! This page has some new papers that I just got and I love! I have decided that along with the projects I make to sell, or the custom orders I do, I am going to post my personal pages I make. I love sharing and most of the time after I complete a page, it goes into a scrapbook and hardly gets seen! They won't be in any order...I scrapbook in random order and whatever I'm in the mood for that day is what gets done!

Trip to the Zoo Pages

I'm finally back to creating and posting again! I have been reorganizing my work space and craft room and it has taken forever!

This is a 2 page layout with room for 4 pictures. 3 4x6 pictures and 1 4x6 (or smaller) picture cropped. There is a large journaling place on the right of the second page with lines stamped on vellum overlaying a striped paper that really compliments the other colors on the page. With a few fun animal stickers, this page is ready for all of your exciting pictures from you trip to the zoo!

Happy Easter Premade Scrapbook Pages

I know, I know...Easter is a few months away, but I got this new paper and I had a vision! I love the retro look of these pages and the bright paper will really make the pictures stand out! There is room for 2 4x6 pictures and 2 3.5x5 pictures (or other larger sizes cropped). The paper has glitter on it in various places and the sticker letters are thick foam letters. There is room for some short journaling.

Premade O Christmas Tree Pages

These pages are bright and fun, using less traditional Christmas colors to bring life to any scrapbook! It is a 2 page layout with the left page featuring a giant Christmas tree made out of fun Christmas paper and the right page has the tree in the green to mimic the left page and the same fun paper creating the outline of the tree. There is room for 4 pictures with 2 places for journaling. One journaling spot is on a stamped "ornament" and the other is on bright pink paper with 2 over sized polka-dot brads holding it in place.
